Meowy Christmas, Fluffles

This card is made from the clear Fluffles Christmas stamps. The image is actually two different stamps, Fluffles and the stocking. I drew in the lower part of the mantle and the nail and string holding the stocking.

Fluffles is colored with Copics. The stocking is colored with a SU ruby red marker. The stocking is accented with Stickles and white Fun Flock on the top part. The Fluffles panel's edge is inked in Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip. There is faux stitching around the edge with a Choc. Chip marker. The next layer is Ruby Red. The sentiment panel is stamped in Ruby Red with faux stitching around the edge. The oval is up on dimensionals. The dots on the scallop square are made with a white gel pen. The oval and scalloped rectangle are cut with Nestabilities and the Cuttlebug.

The patterned paper is inked in Chocolate Chip at the edges. The bottom layer is Choc. Chip and the card is made from Ruby Red. I used the slot punch to make an opening for the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to ask any questions!

Fuzzy Slippers

Wow, I don't know where to start because this card took forever to make. I am happy with how it turned out so I hope someone else will appreciate it. :)

These types of images are the hardest for me to color. I chose the chair paper first and almost immediately wished I'd chosen a different pattern, but only because I was limited with colors for the rest of the image.

So...here goes...the chair and rolling paper are paper pieced. The tree and presents are colored with Copic markers. The presents and ornaments are colored with the Copic glitter pens. I went over the ornaments with red Stickles. The garland is a Copic marker with a glitter pen over it. The 'wall' is SU Soft Sky ink, watercolored. First I sponged it, but it didn't look right so I watercolored over it. The floor is hand-drawn and colored with a Copic marker. The edge of the main image is inked in SU Creamy Caramel and the matted green layer is distressed.

FUZZY SLIPPERS!!! I so wanted to use Liquid Applique, but all I have is white and I didn't think that would work. I was pretty much done. I had colored the slippers the same colors as her shirt (with glitter, too) and was ok with it. All of a sudden it dawned on me that I had Fun Flock the same color! Woo hoo! It's the little things that make me happy.

The sentiment is stamped on the same pp as the 'wrapping paper' and horizontal panel. I had done it initially on white paper and inked the edges, but it was too much white. I just found an open area in the pattern and stamped there.

I added the little buttons as an afterthought. I like the one of the present. The ribbon is a ribbed velvet.

Peppermint Candycanes

Something just drew my to this set by Cornish Heritage Farms. The nostalgia....I'm not sure what it is, but I adore this set.

This paper just seemed like candy canes to me. It is from DCWV Christmas glitter stack. This was a quick and simple card. The image is stamped in SU real red and the 'candycanes' word is overwritten with a clear Copic glitter pen. The edges of the oval are inked and the scallops on the other oval have dots of Stickles on them.

I like how this turned out.

Fun Snowman

This was a fun card to make. I really like this snowman and you might find him paper pieced someday. :)

I already had the oval cut and embossed in my scraps. I stamped the snowman and colored him with Copics. I masked him and sponged on Soft Sky ink and then stamped snowflakes over the sponging. There is a bit of Faux Snow under him. He is mounted on a scalloped oval with Stickles in the scallops. The paper is from Basic grey, the Blitzen collection.

The sentiment is stamped with chalk ink and highlighted with Stickles (on the snowflake). It is mounted onto a circle of Soft Sky covered in faux snow then mounted on a Mellow Moss scalloped circle. The yarn is almost the color of Soft Sky, I got lucky there.

The snowman panel and the white sentiment circle are up on Stampin' Up dimensionals.

Figgy Pudding Ornaments

I am determined to use up this paper (I love it, but Wassail is on the way!). I am in the mood to paper piece because the Kim Hughes images make it so easy to do that.

These ornaments were stamp on the dp and cut out. Two of the ornaments have the heart paper pieced and middle one I covered the heart with a button. I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch and hole on the top so I could thread the ribbon through. The tops of the ornaments are colored with a gold opaque marker and colored again with the gold Copic glitter pen. The outside ornaments are also accented with the gold glitter pen on the horizontal bands. The top panel's scalloped edge was made with a corner rounder. "Joy" is stamped in SU chocolate chip and then traced over with the gold Copic glitter pen.

This was a fun card to make!

Figgy Pudding Trees

First of all, it is SO cold this morning and that is relative because I live in FL. It was 33 degrees! Not the coldest we get, but it was in the 80s two days ago!

These trees were stamped on the Figgy Pudding dp and cut out. The heart was stamped on the pink paper and then cut out and pieced. I colored in the trunks with SU choc. chip marker. I used a corner rounder to make the scalloped edge. The cut out image was mounted on the pink paper then on the white paper. The edge of the white paper is inked in choc. chip. The sentiment was stamped using a Stamp-a-ma-jig (and I still messed it up the first time!). I happened to find the brown and blue polka dot paper AFTER I had already attached the ribbon....not the same brand, just lucky!

I love Basic Grey dp and have just ordered more and can't wait to use it. I am really happy with how this card turned out and will probably do the layout again with different dp. Hmm, that might make a nice gift set. Whatcha think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Gobble til you Wobble

I really should reminded NOT to do this as opposed to encouraging someone to "Gobble til you Wobble". Oh, well, I thought it was a cute turkey and saying. :)

I am still working on coloring with the Copics. The turkey is colored with Copics and the image is lined with the gold Spica glitter pen. Then, I outlined the turkey with the C1 grey Copic. I made a mistake with cut in the upper left corner of my image, so I covered it with the leaf button. Works for me!

The sentiment is also lined with the glitter pen. The edge of the sentiment's oval is inked in brown.

I loved this Basic Grey paper, it just seemed to go. I believe it's from Stella Ruby.
